How to move Google Maps places to Naver Map
You planned your trip in Google Maps. In Korea, Naver Map and KakaoMap are the apps that do the directions. Here is how to carry your places across without ending up at the wrong one.

Is there a way to import a Google Maps list into Naver?
We are not aware of a one-tap way to copy a Google Maps list into Naver Map. Naver's own help pages are the place to check for anything new. Until then, the reliable method is to find each place in Naver yourself, using its Korean name.
The manual method, step by step
- Get the Korean name. Open the place in Google Maps. If the name is in English, switch the app's language to Korean, or use the place's own website or a booking confirmation, and copy the Korean name or the Korean address.
- Search that in Naver Map. Paste the Korean name. If there are several branches, add the district or city after it.
- Search by name or by address, not both. Joining them in one search can return an empty map.
- Check the result before you trust it. Compare the pin with the photo, the street address and the city. Chains, common names and similar spellings are where wrong results come from.
- Save it. Naver Map lets you save places once you are signed in. If you would rather not make an account, keep a note of the confirmed name in your trip plan.
- Repeat for each place. It is slow, and it is where mistakes creep in on a long list.
If Naver cannot find a place after a few tries, check KakaoMap. Each app has places the other misses.
The same thing with Maptinerary
Maptinerary does the carrying-across for you, one place at a time, and makes you confirm each one.
- In Google Maps, open a place and tap Share, then choose Maptinerary. You can also paste the link into the Convert tab, or scan a screenshot.
- Check the place it found, and confirm it. Until you do, it is marked unconfirmed, and you are warned if the city or name looks wrong.
- Maptinerary keeps the English and Korean names together.
- Tap Directions, and it opens in the map you chose: Naver Map, KakaoMap or Google Maps. It searches the Korean name in the Korean apps.
What it does not do. Maptinerary does not create a list inside Naver Map. It keeps your places on your phone and opens each one in your map app when you tap Directions. It does not give directions itself, and it does not use your location.
